Hospital Affiliations

Our physicians have visiting privileges for newborns born at UPMC Harrisburg and will see your newborn before discharge. Please call us before the birth of your baby to enroll with us, and then inform your obstetrician that you have chosen JDC Pediatrics for the care of your baby. If your baby is admitted to the NICU, the NICU physicians on the hospital staff will see and treat your baby while there. Once you are given baby's discharge date, call us to set up your first appointment.

If your child ever requires hospitalization, we will admit to UPMC Harrisburg. Once admitted to the hospital, your child's care will be administered by the physicians and staff of that hospital, for as long as your child remains a patient there. After the admission, please follow your insurance company's requirements to reduce your risk of payment problems. Then, once discharged, please follow the hospital's discharge instructions, which may require a follow-up visit with your child's physician at JDC.
