COVID-19 Vaccines Now Available for Our Youngest Patients!

10/21/2021

COVID-19 vaccines for our patients ages 6 months-4 years:
JDC Pediatrics will provide the Moderna vaccine in a 2-dose series (1-2 months apart)

COVID-19 vaccines and boosters for our patients ages 5-11:
JDC Pediatrics will provide the Pfizer vaccine in a 2-dose series (1-2 months apart).
Children ages 5-11 years old can receive a COVID-19 booster five months after the date of their most recent Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine dose.

The CDC recommends that everyone ages 6 months and older get vaccinated against COVID-19. We encourage you to schedule your child's appointment on our website here or through your child's patient portal account. If you already have an upcoming scheduled appointment (i.e. a well visit) please call us ahead of time if you are interested in having your child receive the vaccine or a booster at the visit, and we will reserve a dose for you. This will help us to plan for how much vaccine to have on hand for our patients.

COVID-19 vaccines and boosters for our patients ages 12-17:
We regretfully inform you that due to the amount of the Pfizer vaccine that JDC is required to order and store, we are not able to administer the vaccine or boosters to our 12 years and older age group. Please visit the PA Department of Health’s website using the link below to locate a provider near you to receive the vaccine.

COVID-19 boosters for ages 18 and older:
JDC Pediatrics is a vaccine provider for anyone (parents of our patients and the general public) 18 years of age and older who may need a booster vaccine with a dose of Moderna. Even if your first or second dose was not Moderna, you may still receive a Moderna booster. Please call our office to schedule an appointment for ages 18 and up.
